As we were driving home the other night, my eye caught site of a bulletin on a church right by our house. The sign said: In every service God is our welcome guest! I was like oh thats cool...but then I was thinking about it and I was like, guest? How can GOD be a guest at church? I mean HELLLLOOO...its HIS HOUSE!!! Think about it!!! A guest is someone that doesn't belong there but you welcome them anyway and hopefully they become a permanent part!!! God is NOT a guest, the church and all the world for that matter is HIS TERRITORY!!! We are the ones that didn't belong, but he brought us anyways and welcomed us with his love until we became a part. So often we're praying that God would be in our services, BUT God is already there!!! We are the ones that got to get in tune with him!!! We are the ones that gotta reach out and TOUCH HIM!!! We are the ones that are PRIVILEDGED to have the HONOR to enter into HIS PRESENSE. Every time you go to church thank GOD for the invitation! REMEMBER: YOU ARE THE GUEST!!!
"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." (Hebrews 4:14-16)
